When Carrie O’Neal Brenner combined her passion for design and stationery with a desire to own her own business, Scripted Studio was born.
“Scripted Studio is an eclectic stationery and gift shop located in historic Hamilton, Ohio,” says O’Neal Brenner.
With 25 years of graphic design experience with various brands from around the globe, O’Neal Brenner has what it takes to design products people will love. In fact, she’s done things from Minted greeting cards you can ind at Target to the logo for a new theme park in Qatar.
As an award-winning graphic designer and entrepreneur, she excels in creating items including stationery, paper goods, unique products, and delightful doodles. “People often say that Scripted is what they imagine Etsy would look like if it was a physical space,” she says. “I take that as a huge compliment.
When you visit the shop, you’ll find that some of the most popular products right now are hair claws that look like different go breeds, pink acrylic bunny rabbits, and Rifle Paper notebooks. “It’s an eclectic mix for sure, but I love to see the smile on people’s faces when they come inside,” says O’Neal Brenner. “We also have a pink gumball machine that dispenses 80s-style scratch-n-sniff stickers that are always a hit!”
Shopping at Scripted Studio isn’t just about supporting local, it’s about supporting a business owner’s dream of bringing something unique to the region.
“I travel quite a bit with my design business and am always on the lookout for unique shops and finds,” explains O’Neal Brenner. “There are lots of unique items that I have designed, or other designers that I know throughout the country have created, inside Scripted. I can’t think of another store in the Cincinnati area that has the same vibe as Scripted. A bright, cheery, fun-filled space with items you won’t find anywhere else.”
And, for the first time ever, O’Neal shared that her space is expanding. “We are in the beginning stages of adding an exciting addition to the shop,” she says. “Scripted will soon partner with non-toxic nail salon called Polished Hamilton, owned by my daughter Abby O’Neal.” Polished will be located in the back half of Scripted, and is expected to open Spring 2024.
