Birthday Decor Ideas

Wine as party decor? We're so down for that! Check out these tips from our design guru on using vino for your party decorations.

Here are tips I used this weekend to throw myself a beautiful birthday party without spending too much.

Create a focal point with a birthday table – This will set the vibe, make it more special. Use what you have on-hand. I used my silver sequin tablecloth from my wedding. Tablecloth alternatives: flat bed sheet, craft paper, scarves. As a birthday gift, Bellisima Wine gifted me their vegan, organic, and zero sugar wines. (I’m hoping to become a vegan this birthday year!).

The bottles are colorful so I used these as decor for the table. The box it came in was pink and pretty so I made that the centerpiece. Topped the box with homemade cupcakes, it became the cupcake holder too. Finished it off by placing colorful napkins around the box. Making your decor multifunctional is a great way to cut costs. You can see how it came out here on my Instagram.

Make it interactive – Guests love to physically be involved in the party. Guests got to pop their own mini bottles of Prosecco and were given gold colored “sippers” to put onto their own individual wine bottles. Guests made cute Instagram Boomerangs with balloons. I always have a stash of regular white balloons for parties. They match almost every party theme and are low price for a big impact.

Keep these easy, affordable tips in mind for your next shindig!

Cheers! Emily
