Heather Shamp wants to help women retain, maintain, and enhance their natural, youthful beauty with her high-touch, results-driven skincare and beauty treatments. Located on the north side of Dayton, Truth and Beauty, LLC is the place helping women of all ages feel confident and beautiful in their own skin.
“Whether clients suffer from sensitive sin, overly dry skin, adult breakouts, clogged pores, or just need a pick-me-up, I provide the services, education, and products to address those needs,” explains Shamp.
Truth and Beauty, LLC just opened its doors to clients in February, and with it, Shamp brings a decades-long background in education to the esthetics services she provides. After a length education career, she decided to pivot and take her passions in a new direction – toward skincare. “I approach every service with empathy and care, educating my clients along the way,” she says.
There are a variety of services available at Truth and Beauty, LLC, including facials, waxing, and lash and brow enhancements. “I provided customized facial that address whatever is concerning the client, whether it be blackheads or clogged pores, sensitivity and redness, signs of aging, dryness, and more,” says Shamp. “I also provide derma plane facials, which are really popular. Waxing services include women’s waxing needs, with the exception of intimate waxing. I also offer lash and brow enhancements through lash lifts and tints and brow lamination and tints.”
In addition to the services offered in her studio, Shamp also teaches cosmetologists and estheticians how to perform lash lifts and brow laminations through private and group classes known as Lash Bomb and Brow Bomb.
Shamp says that what makes her aesthetics studio unique is that she offers a highly sought-after sculptural facial lifting techniques. “I trained under the master and creator Yakov Gershkovish to learn this advanced facial massage technique so that I could offer it to my clients,” she adds.
The service is 90 minutes and is devoted to a specialized facial massage that targets the muscles and alleviates tension throughout the face by opening up the facial structure. “This service includes buccal massage, which is a facial massage technique that addresses your facial muscles from inside the mouth,” she says. “The client leaves sculpted and lifted without medications or needles. Results are often noticeable after only one service, but eight treatments once a week provide the best and most noticeable results. Monthly maintenance sculptural lifting facials help to retain those results.”
Shamp says that she will continue to focus on education throughout 2022. “I want to be able to provide advanced high-touch and effective treatments,” she says. “I am also working on education for other professionals.” Shamp says she plans to add professional continuing education in wellness, business, and services for licensed cosmetologists and estheticians.
She also plans to have a blog up as well as an online shop offering skincare, products, and professional courses. “I’m excited to add some new products, including a smart skin cleansing device by Foreo,” she adds.
