The StretchLab opened its doors in Kenwood in 2020, offering one-on-one flexibility training and hopefully, pain relief. Owners Brian and Sara opened the franchise after years of sports injuries and physical setbacks with themselves and their now grown children. Through their experiences, they understood how important flexibility and range of motion is to prevent injury.
“We are a one-on-one assisted stretch wellness facility,” a StretchLab representative says. “Our Flexologists work closely with each client to determine their needs and then customize each of their sessions to help them attain their goals.”
StretchLab Kenwood has six “Flexologists,” each with a background in athletic training, physical therapy or personal training.
These Flexologists go through an intensive 60-70+ hour program, which includes theory, hands-on training, the muscular system, a variety of assisted stretches, and how to work with a variety of clients of all ages and body types, according to its website.
“No two bodies are the same and no two stretches at StretchLab are the same,” the representative says. “One-on-one stretching is about identifying tightness and imbalances in your body and customizing a stretch routine that is just for you. Our clients come in with pain, tightness or specific focus areas, but they keep coming back and commit to their flexibility journey once they experience the freedom that comes with having a wider range of motion and flexibility.”
StretchLab offers a free first session, where the Flexologist will make a recommendation for a plan to move forward. Memberships are recommended but drop-ins are welcome, as well.
