Sparkle Squad

This Northern Kentucky-based duo is bringing the sparkle to your celebrations.

Lauren DiFulvio and Erin Callery know just how much good a little sparkle can do. The two were hired to work the face glitter bar at the Taylor Swift “Taygate”at the Banks before her concert and couldn’t believe the joy they were able to bring to girls, and their moms, when they help get them sparkled up.

That joy turned to inspiration when they researched local glitter pop-up bars and found there weren’t any. Now, they are the founders of Sparkle Squad, a mobile pop-up face glitter and hair tinsel bar. “We can show up to add some sparkle to any event,” explains DiFulvio.

Sparkle Squad aims to bring joy to those they interact with, no matter their age. “Everyone loves a little sparkle,” says DiFulvio. “It’s not too much and looks beautiful on everyone. It’s simple and easy, and doesn’t ruin your makeup. And there is nothing else like it anywhere.”

The Sparkle Squad has done events of all kinds. DiFulvio said they’ve gone to events such as the Pink concert, Ke$ha, Mariemont Elementary Father-Daughter Dance, Summit Country Day Father-Daughter Dance, NKY Pride Parade, Braxton Brewery, Balloon Therapy, The Beauty Boost Cincy, Silk Socials Studio and have worked with several businesses including Sit Still Cincy, Dance Factory Fitness, Vessel Collective, Barre3, Meas OTR, Covington Mainstrasse and Ovation NKY.

DiFulvio says you can find Sparkle Squad at Dance Factory Fitness for their Eras dance camps this summer and they’ll also be at Vessel Collective’s Mom Prom fundraiser on November 16. They’ll also be at the Cincinnati Museum Center’s annual fundraising gala on November 8.

You can bring the Sparkle Squad to your next event, as the team travels 30 minutes from downtown Cincinnati or further (for a fee). Pricing for events is customized, depending on the event.

DiFulvio says they’re looking forward to the future of their business, as well as the women they’re excited to meet along the way.
