April Bogart has always dreamed of owning her own shop. As a little girls he found herself picking up the home decor and clothing magazines, rather than the children’s books. It was a dream she never gave up on, and one that has finally become a reality. Today Bogart is the owner of Simply Cozy Co., a home decor and clothing boutique located in the heart of downtown Sidney.
When working on the plans to open what would become Simply Cozy Co., Bogart wanted to create a space that would give others in the community somewhere to find things to decorate their homes or just to create an outfit that they felt comfortable and confident in.
Customers who step inside Simply Cozy Co. will find a variety of home decor pieces including hand-poured organic soy candles and wax melts, vases, houseplants, prints, greeting cards, re-finished furniture. “On the clothing side, ‘Simply You,’ you’ll find several varieties of tops, sweaters, denim, joggers, jewelry, and many other accessories – just for you,” she says.
When asked what makes her shop unique, Bogart says that it’s her mission to keep the clothing section at $50 and below. “I truly believe that an outfit that you feel great in, along with a good attitude of course, can set the tone for your day,” she says. “That’s why at Simply cozy, I want my items to be budget-friendly for my shoppers. You could come in and get a top, a pair of jeans, and an accessory for less than $100. Shoppings that feel confident and don’t break the bank – that’s a win-win in my book!”
Simply Cozy Co. recently underwent a small expansion, and Bogart is looking forward to future growth. In fact, as the one-woman show behind it all, Bogart says that as her shop continues to grow, she’s hoping to bring on employees in the future.
In addition to the expansion, Simply Cozy Co.’s candles can be found at other local small businesses in the area. “You can find custom-scented smoothie flavor-inspired Simply Cozy candles at The Smoothie Life, located next door to Buffalo Wild Wings in Sidney,” she adds.
