When we go through changes in life, we tend to call them seasons. And to capture the seasons of life is Season Journals, a brand that creates thoughtful products and publishes stories.

“Our signature product, The Engagement Journal, is a guided heirloom journal made exclusively for engaged couples,” explains Season Journals Founder Annette Furio. “We believe that our ultimate product is not our journals, but the stories people tell within them. We give space to collect moments and stories that, together, can create a life memoir.”

In addition to The Engagement Journal, Season Journals publishes a variety of digital journal prompt guides and a weekly blog publication that focuses on wellness, relationships, storytelling, and the seasons of life.

Furio says the inspiration for Season Journals came from her experience working with couples as their wedding stationery designer.

“I wanted to create a product that utilizes my knowledge of the wedding industry while serving the couples that I enjoyed working with so much,” says Furio. “There was a need for a wedding planning book that wasn’t about dress silhouettes, flower names, or timelines. I wanted to write and design something that went deeper and asked questions about the ‘why’ and behind the ‘what.'”

Season Journals wanted to bring enjoyment back into the wedding planning process, and ensuring that both partners were involved. Not only did Season Journals aim to bring couples together during a sometimes stressful period, it also wanted to be something a couple could look back on and reflect about the wedding planning process.

“We call The Engagement Journal a holistic wedding planning journal because it encompasses wedding planning and relationship building,” she adds.

Furio has plenty of experience in the wedding industry, and has a passion for people, storytelling, creativity, and self-expression. She was previously the co-owner of the award-winning wedding stationery company, Birdhaus Co., and served over 100 couples. She founded Season Journals in November 2019.

Furio works alongside Lauren Pennington, who serves as the Social Media Manager and the voice of the brand through Season’s social media channels. “Lauren’s creativity spans multiple facets from design to photography and she is an active part of the wedding industry as an emerging photographer,” says Furio.

“While our internal team is small, our community makes the heart of Season beat,” she says. “We have collaborated with over 50 individuals and business owners in the wedding, wellness, and self-improvement industries, with more to come in the coming months. Season was created for people, and our community inspires what we do!”

When you shop Season Journals, you’ll find The Engagement Journal in print and digital formats. Then, during the holidays, exclusive gift boxes will be available that include The Engagement Journal and other congratulatory gifts.

“In addition to The Engagement Journal, we offer a selection of Journal Workbooks that are comprised of journal prompts for different seasons of life,” says Furio. “These range from gratitude to graduation workbooks.”

Season Journals will continue to add to the collection at various times throughout the year to give everyone insight into what journaling can do for them.

Furio says that what makes Season Journals unique is that their products encourage meaningful, more intentional moments of human connection and self-reflection.

“We believe we can help others reconnect with themselves and the people they love by slowing down, reflecting through writing, asking the right questions, and publishing stories and inspiration that supports these beliefs,” she adds.

This fall be on the lookout for an updated version of The Engagement Journal, where Furio says the content remains the same but some of the materials have been upgraded for a more keepsake-worthy look. They also plan to release a new signature Gift Box for the upcoming holiday and engagement season.

“Our gift boxes have been popular for both family and friends of engaged couples and wedding vendors who show gratitude to their clients by sending a gift,” she says.

They’re also working on the next printed journal with a publishing date of 2022.

We’re busy writing our next printed journal with a projected publish date in 2022.
