MORTAR recently announced that it is continuing its collaboration with P&G and Kroger to support the city’s historically marginalized communities in their entrepreneurship endeavors called the Entrepreneurship Academy. The program, which saw immense success in 2021, is ready for another year of supporting the community’s thought leaders and to provide funding for new business ventures.
“P&G and Kroger have been strong supporters over the years,” says Allen Woods, co-founder and chief executive officer at MORTAR.“We’re deeply grateful for this new program that will enable us to impact more entrepreneurs and allow our participants to learn directly from their talented executives.”
The program aims to build on the curriculum established by MORTAR and allows entrepreneurs to directly benefit from engagement with senior leaders at Kroger and P&G.
MORTAR was founded in 2014 as a way to provide existing and aspiring entrepreneurs learn the fundamental elements of business ownership while building a comprehensive business canvas through its entrepreneurship academy. “A primary goal of the program is to launch businesses that contribute to local economic development and establish a path to generational sustainability and wealth,” MORTAR says.
Applications for the program are currently open to Cincinnati-based entrepreneurs and can be found here.The application closes March 14 and the online cohort starts May 19. The cost for the program is $295 and includes a complimentary virtual alumni program after its completion.
