Judy Stoll is the founder behind Forget Me Not Custom Gifts, a boutique gift concierge that offers luxury gifting solutions for personal and corporate occasions.
“Our mission is to create intentional gifting, with ease,” says Stoll.
A life-long Cincinnati, Stoll says she was inspired to launch Forget Me Not Custom Gifts from her love of shopping, expensive taste, a keen eye for unique and quality items, appreciation of small businesses, and ruthless competitiveness.
“But above all else, the idea is rooted in the importance of creating an impactful gift with every last detail meticulously thought out, to perfectly fit the gift recipient,” says Stoll. “We create gifts to make sure your loved ones feel remembered and worthy through any and all walks of life.”
Stoll is helping you give the best gift at the party thanks in part to what she learned from her older sister, who runs the small business and modern lifestyle shop Burke Mercantile in Long Beach, California. That’s where Stoll gained insight and education on the importance of small batch goods, slow fashion, and sustainability.
The 31-year-old entrepreneur is the one-woman show behind Forget Me Not Custom Gifts, although she credits a team of helpers including friends and family.
“I have always treated gift-giving as an art, and it’s one that not everyone understands,” she says. “Impersonal gifting has become the new norm with gift cards, e-cards, and mass manufactured commerce platforms that are ready to ship tomorrow. My goal is to put an end to this detached form of gift-giving and restore that personal experience and connection, all while making the process incredibly simple, and still representing and reflecting the best version of you.”
When you shop Forget Me Not Custom Gifts, you can shop for individuals and professionals. If you’re shopping for an individual, you can find curated custom gift boxes, baskets, bulk gift sets, and memorable party favors for any and all occasions or life’s “just because” moments. There’s also a rotating selection of one-of-a-kind gift boxes when in need of a quick yet impactful gift.
You can also shop for professionals with Forget Me Not Custom Gifts. “We strategize with you to create corporate gift options that are representative of you, feel personal, and help to cultivate and elevate your important professional relationships,” says Stoll. “From employees to clients, acknowledgements to appreciation, and everything in between, we can create something for everyone.”
Stoll has already dealt with a variety of challenges when it comes to running her own business. In the move that really encouraged her to become an entrepreneur, she took a spur-of-the-moment trip to see her sister in California for advice and returned to Ohio, where she then quit the job that wasn’t working for her.
“A few short weeks later, COVID hit the US and I would spend the next 7 months hunkering down, researching, creating a business plan, and finalizing my business mode before launching Forget Me Not Custom Gifts in October 2020,” she says. ‘Within the first 4 months in business, I curated over 45 custom gifts and landed my first corporate gift contract for over 300 gifts. Now 8 months in, I continue to be humbled and surprised by the support Forget Me Not has gotten, the orders that come in, and the opportunities that continue to arise.”
When you shop Forget Me Not Custom Gifts, you’ll find that they take on a built-in, pay-it-forward model.
“Think of it as the gift that keeps on giving, if you will,” says Stoll. “I have always been a lover and appreciative of small businesses. Seeing my sister build and evolve her small business over the last 5 years has truly been awe-inspiring. On the flip side, seeing the struggles small businesses faced during COVID, I wanted to do something that would be helpful. Thus, Forget Me Not’s main value is to source products exclusively from small businesses. Each gift comes with an information sheet that tells customers what products are included, where they came from, and the small businesses’ websites and social media handles.”
Through this initiative, Stoll wants to help both the gifter and the gift recipient to be introduced to new small businesses and the products they sell that you can’t find in everyday Big Box stores.
“By sourcing strictly from small businesses and artists, our gifts are unique, high-quality, oftentimes hand-made, and offer vast product diversity,” she adds.
“We continue to keep our eyes and ears open for cohesive pop-up opportunities, collaborations, and partnerships,” says Stoll. “In the meantime, we are always available to curate custom individual and corporate gifts, while upholding the highest level of customer service and customer experience.”
