Ready for a fun night out? Wild Axe Throwing in Beavercreek is the place to try something new.
“Wild Axe Throwing is a premier axe throwing facility,” explains Co-Owner Daniel Huiet. “We have 11 lanes, a party room, a game room with 11 pinball machines, a full bar, and a ton of axes. At Wild Axe Throwing, we will teach you how to throw large, sharp axes at targets.”
There’s no need to worry about your axe throwing abilities at Wild Axe Throwing, as there are trained axe masters sent with every group.
The idea of bringing Wild Axe Throwing to the Dayton area came from Huiet and co-owner Michael Keggan’s desire to offer yet another fun entertainment option to complement their Great Escape Game that’s also located in Beavercreek as well as Escape Room Family in Sharonville, near Cincinnati. When the duo came across an article describing axe throwing, the duo knew it was an opportunity they needed to take.
When you visit Wild Axe Throwing, you’ll find a clean, unique, and fun atmosphere.
“All of our lanes are private and are six feet apart, which means you’ll never be paired with another group,” says Huiet. “Wild Axe Throwing offers a full bar with beer, wine, liquor, and custom cocktails. Each lane can hold up to six throwers and our party room can hold up to 15 throwers. During your time you’ll play games, have a competition with the other lanes, and we have some fun surprises as well that we introduce while you are throwing.”
The goal in opening Wild Axe Throwing was to create a space that was visually appealing and offered an experience, as opposed to just coming in, throwing axes, and leaving. That’s why Huiet and Keegan brought axe masters to can help you stick an axe while also introducing bonus surprises throughout your visit.
“We didn’t just want to slap together some plywood and make an experience that wasn’t up to par with what we felt our guests wanted,” according to the Wild Axe Throwing website. “We desired a space that made you feel good. A place where you could have a kick axe birthday party or an unforgettable first date. In other words, somewhere that the design and atmosphere made you feel like you were in a place you’ve never been to before. A step back in time, a breath of fresh air, and a rush that made you feel alive inside.”
In addition to its axe throwing experience, Wild Axe Throwing has axe throwing and pinball leagues. Huiet says each league consists of 8 weeks and finishes with a fun, double elimination tournament.
Wild Axe throwing is located at 3251 Seajay Drive in Beavercreek, just off Route 35 and North Fairfield Road. You can also visit Great Escape Game at 2332 Grange Hall Road, also in Beavercreek.
