This historic mansion is the perfect setting for a special event.

The Orrmont Estate was built in 1900 by the Orr family. The historic property now serves as a backdrop to the special days of many, serving as a wedding and event venue owned by Tim and Janelle Baker.

When the Bakers purchased the Orrmont Estate, they wanted to create a space that was able to host weddings with a magnificent backdrop in the small town of Piqua. Today, they specialize in not only weddings, but also events of all kinds including birthday parties, graduation parties, proms, and even company training meetings.

“The property’s outdoor space can be used for ceremonies as well as inside the mansion for receptions and other events,” says Owner Janelle Baker. “All of the distinct features of the mansion make it the perfect setting for a ceremony or celebration of any kind.”

The Bakers are proud to offer an event space in the northern Dayton area that not only has today’s modern conveniences but maintains its 1900s influence and charm. “To get onto the property you have to go through big, ornamental gates and go down a long driveway lined with trees,” she says. “It really is just a little oasis to enjoy a bit of time away.”

As the Bakers continue to grow the Orrmont Estate, they are adding new spaces for events hosted on the property. “In the past there was a Cathedral Tent for receptions and events, but that’s all changing,” she says. “We have taken the tent down and are building a new, permanent structure.”

The Clubhouse, as it will be named, will have heat and air as well as a ceiling that peaks at 32 feet. “There will be glass doors and windows that provide open sight lines to the beautiful property, so you can enjoy the view from indoors as well,” adds Baker.

The Orrmont Estate is located at 1612 S Main Street in Piqua. You can learn more at https://orrmont.com or by following along on Instagram and Facebook.
