If you’re looking for a place to transform your self-confidence and showcase your inner beauty, Alba Salon & Spa is the place for you. Over the last eight years, co-owners Sarah Kosakowski and Diana Hilty have evolved and reinvented Alba—a full-service upscale salon near Hyde Park and Oakley—to ensure the best possible experience for clients and staff. They want Alba to be the neighborhood spot where you walk in and everyone knows your name, Kosakowski says.
Alba offers services in hair, nails, facials, massages and spray tans. Kosakowski says the most popular treatments offered at Alba are the skin treatments, such as microdermabrasion and dermaplaning.
“These spa services take your skin to the next level by taking off all of the impurities on the top level of your skin. Both of these treatments can make skin appear smoother and help fight the signs of aging,” Kosakowski says.
Every product Alba uses is natural and eco-friendly. Kosakowski says the team at Alba would never put anything on guest’s hair, skin or body that is not good for them or the environment. Every time Kosakowski and the other Alba team members want to choose a new line or product, they dig deep and research the ingredients, side effects and sourcing practices.
Kosakowski says the team at Alba talks with guests to choose the right product for the job. One of Alba’s favorite product lines is from Kevin Murphy, which offers environmentally friendly and easy-to-use products.
When a guest visits Alba, they can expect a distraction from any stress in their day-to-day lives. The moment someone walks through the door, Kosakowski says she wants them to forget about their struggles and relax in a safe environment.
“We don’t want them to come here to get a service ‘done’ but to create a transformative experience that not only allows them to let go, but also leave feeling more confident and beautiful,” Kosakowski says.
After a visit to Alba, Kosakowski says she wants guests to leave feeling beautiful, rested, confident and ready to come back as soon as possible.
“Every visit to Alba is a vacation for your senses,” Kosakowski says.
