LaTasha Coleman has been in the bar and restaurant industry for a decade, and with her expertise she wanted to bring a high-quality mobile bartending service to the Dayton area.
With that thought in mind, she opened The Liquor Lab, a mobile bartending service specializing in signature cocktails and cocktails to accommodate beverage needs for any special occasion.
Turning a vision into reality came about during the COVID-19 pandemic. “Living in a pandemic was very rough for me in the beginning because I’ve always been a family-oriented person,” explains Coleman. “I love to entertain and sped time with loved ones.” So, when everything shut down in 2020, she wasn’t able to do the things she normally did and gatherings stopped. No one knew when the world was going to open back up, and with the future of bars in question nationwide, she wanted to create a way that allowed others to still enjoy an active bar experience, even if that experience had to be brought to the consumer.
Coleman’s staff at The Liquor Lab has continuously grown since she opened up, and the team is dedicated to ensuring that your party needs are met, no matter how big or small. “My staff and I are all certified and licensed to serve and mix the drink of your choice,” she adds. “So you can be worry-free and enjoy your special occasion.”
Every event that The Liquor Lab accommodates is different, so she offers customization and a variety of packaged offerings. “We offer delicious signature cocktails and cocktails, mimosas, bars, margarita bars, specialty drink tables, and much more,” says Coleman. “We also have an LED portable bar that adds fun and a unique aesthetic to any event.”
Coleman says that what makes The Liquor Lab unique is her focus on creating an enjoyable experience for guests. “I’ve always been the life of the party,” she says. “My No. 1 goal is to make sure clients and guests are having a great time that’s both fun and stress-free.”
She also brings along a staff full of professional individuals who are not only fun but dedicated to making guest experiences just as enjoyable as Coleman. “I pride myself in providing an experience, not just a service,” she adds.
Coleman is looking forward to the continued growth of her business, and is planning to incorporate more workshop-type events. “During Valentine’s Day weekend I hosted the ‘Be My Valentine’ couples mixology class because I thought it would be something fun and different to do with your spouse,” she says. “I’ve had so many great reviews and inquiries for the next one that I plan to host them quarterly.”
While The Liquor Lab is based in Dayton, Coleman says she has no problem traveling to surrounding cities and even states for a travel fee.
