Seth and Ashley Doliboa converted a 1900 originally ice cream cone factory into a wedding venue and event center called The Lift.

The couple kept most of the original building and updated it with modern touches along the way, making it an ideal spot for weddings, reunions, fundraisers, galas, bridal and baby showers, and so much more.

The duo says that their inspiration for turning the old ice cream factory into an event space came from their passion for turning a building in need of love into something magical. “With Seth’s experience as a custom home building, and Ashley’s expertise in interior design, the vision came easily to revive what was once an ice cream factory in 1900 into a breathtaking, modern event space in 2201,” they say on their website.

The Lift is located in the Historic Huffman District, at 114 S. June Street in Dayton. The neighborhood is well-known for its prominent Victorian architecture and friendly, small town feel.

The Lift is 20,000-square-feet of all-season, separate event and reception space. “Without the ned to ‘flip the room,’ you and your guests are able to focus on the best part of your event: having non-stop fun,” say the Doliboas. “Let your vision come to life at The Lift.”

Not only does The Lift offer a modern space for events, but they also have a list of preferred caterers includingRich Taste, Bernstein’s, Kohler, and Elite Catering.

As many as 260 people can be seated at The Lift, and it offers free off street, private parking for event attendees, as well as public parking options.
