The Home Staging Co.

Take your house from “for sale” to “sold” with this home staging and redesign duo.

You can call Michelle Adams and Valerie Carroll masterminds. The two are the founders of The Home Staging Co., a local business that works to help sell properties faster and at a higher return on investment through staging, design, and creativity.

“We work with homeowners and realtors to turn their houses into every potential buyer’s dream home,” explains Carroll. “We utilize our creativity, design skills, and a modern approach to transform the spaces in and outside of our clients’ homes.”

Like many of us, they were raised on HGTV, but they have “the eye” for interior designer. “We like to say that HGTV was our informal training on design,” says Carroll. “We have a vision o home staging and interior design that goes beyond the norm of most staging companies and our goal was to create something different. We love seeing a homeowner’s eyes light up at the transformations we’re able to create within a space.”

At the time they launched the business, Adams and Carroll established a clear vision of not just staging homes but transforming them into spaces that potential buyers love. In fact, Carroll says, homeowners they help sell homes with often hire them to help with the interior design of their new house.

There are multiple services offered at The Home Staging Co. Consultations from The Home Staging Co. are referred to as Walk & Talks, and give the team an opportunity to help homeowners get a start on preparing their homes to be market-ready. During consultations, they go room-by-room to make suggestions and identify areas that need improvement.

Adams and Carroll are dedicated not only to ensuring the success of The Home Staging Co., but also to showing their families what can be accomplished when you pursue your dreams. “We love our families and pets and having the opportunity to be there when we’re needed for them,” says Carroll. “It is truly a dream to have a career that you love, and we’re so lucky to build this company together.”

A Walk & Talk Plus is a unique service that includes the initial consultation but also 3 hours of re-deisgn services. “We utilize the owners’ existing furniture and decor to edit the primary living spaces in order to maximize space and highlight key features,” says Carroll. “Homeowners can expect rearranging furniture, rehanging artwork, decluttering, removing furniture, and rearranging decor. We both feel that this is the biggest bang for your buck and our favorite types of projects.”

The Home Staging Co. provides staging for vacant homes that includes a carefully curated selection of inventory that will bring life to each room and showcase the property’s unique qualities. Occupied Home Staging, when the owners still live in the listed property, The Home staging Co. can bring in art and accessories and furnish some rooms so the space is still livable.

Through all of these services, what makes The Home Staging Co. unique is its attention to details. “It’s all about the details for us,” she says. “Anyone can put a bed and nightstands in a room to show the size of the space. We go above and beyond with the details for each room within a home by adding different layers and textures. Our design choices are selected, and a lot of times purchased, specifically for certain houses.”

The goal with these services is to help potential buyers walk into a house and see it as their home. “We stage homes so that it feels like a well-designed home to potential buyers, not a house that is ‘staged,’” says Carroll. “Creating an emotional connection between the houses and buyers is a game-changer when it comes to days a home spends on the market and the amount buyers are willing to go over list price.”

Together, they’re looking forward to the future of The Home Staging Co. and helping realtors and homeowners sell their properties. “We’re dedicated to providing modern and detail-oriented solutions for all homeowners in the Tri-State area,” adds Carroll. “We’re looking forward, most of all, to having the opportunity to explore our community by gaining new clients and helping them on their home ownership journey.”

The Home Staging Co. has worked with clients from Georgetown, Kentucky, and as far north as Dayton.
