The Client Experience

Owner Crystal Swift

Crystal Swift of Crystal Collection helps ease the stress of event planning

Crystal Swift believes every life deserves beauty and experiences worth remembering. To help assist others in turning their dreams into reality, she started her company Crystal Collection five years ago.

The Crystal Collection is a creative direction agency that specializes in inspiring others with intimate design and intentional storytelling during events and projects. Working as an event manager for various nonprofits for five years, it wasn’t until Swift planned her first wedding in 2016 that she decided she wanted to start planning events on her own.

“The brand was started because we have a heart to serve. Not only do we love serving others, but even more than that, client experience is everything to us. We want you to feel invited into our space and inspired by what we can do together,” says Swift.

To date, Swift has helped to plan over 100 events with events covering all aspects of life. She’s worked on a variety of events, such as nonprofit fundraisers, galas, birthday parties, brand launches, store openings, vendor markets, conferences, retreats and her specialty, weddings.

The Crystal Collection uses mood boards while planning events.

“We are in the business of serving others with intention. None of our events or projects will ever look the same because our focus is on who we’re serving. Every person, every business, has a story, and we use that as our inspiration to curate events and projects that are unique and exclusive,” says Swift.

In starting her first business, Swift has dealt with her share of difficulties. One that she has found most difficult is comparisons. She says social media has made it easy to see the progress of other brands, so she recommends that small business owners give themselves “grace” and remember that everyone grows at their own pace. That mindset has saved her from becoming discouraged.

“With being five years into my business, I understand, more than ever, the need to be able to pivot,” says Swift. “Whether your customer’s needs change or if you have to change the structure of your business, it’s OK and you get to that because your business is yours!”

Planning/designing events will always be a part of the brand, but Swift hopes to also be able offer services for small businesses soon.
