Opportunity. Whether it’s seeking higher education, starting a business, a new job, or something else – we have all sought out an opportunity at one time or another to improve our own lives.

However, it’s isn’t always an easy path. You may know where you want to end up, but do you know where to start?

Finding a starting point is the inspiration behind The Cincinnati Experience, whose roots were planted in 2014 when it was founded under the name Source Cincinnati, when city leaders started asking, “Who wakes up every day and thinks about the reputation of Cincinnati?”

Without a clear answer as to who was telling Cincinnati’s story to the rest of the country, what is now known as The Cincinnati Experience, took off in 2021.

The primary goal of The Cincinnati Experience is to share what a great place Cincinnati, and its surrounding areas, are to live, work, and have fun. Their website and social media platforms offer a starting place for those who want to explore the Tri-State area. Whether you want to learn more about the history of Cincinnati, or if you’re looking for a place to grab a bite to eat, their content can help with both.

The Cincinnati Experience’s work revolves around creating and sharing its content and storylines. They are constantly following story trends and then finding ways in which Cincinnati can fit in with those trends. As people start traveling again, many are opting for road trips rather than flights, and The Cincinnati Experience has been offering up the Queen City as an ideal stopping point.

The Cincinnati Experience also offers immersion experiences for journalists so they can experience Cincinnati firsthand, then report back to their readers what they were able to take away from a visit to the city. The group has been working behind the scenes with publications like Forbes, Essense, Saveur, and Travel + Leisure to help tell stories about the region.

The Cincinnati Experience exists at an intersection among a wide variety of people, businesses, developments, and more. They want to give others a bird’s eye view in telling the unique stories that too often go unheard.

The Cincinnati Experience receives funding from regional organizations like the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, REDI Cincinnati, the Cincinnati Visitors and Convention Bureau, ArtsWave, and the P&G Fund. The group is run by Executive Director Anastasia Mileham and Communications and Content Coordinator Stephany Mendia.

“Whatever is new to the region is new for us,” says Mendia. “As the world continues to open and change, we’re excited to see what new businesses emerge, what events, take place, what movies are filmed here, and more.”
