The Baker’s Table

Enjoy a farm-to-table experience at this summer series hosted by a Newport-based establishment.

Based across the river in Newport, The Baker’s Table Restaurant is bringing you dishes with local ingredients as part of their farm-to-table summer series. The series features the eatery’s unique style of rustic, seasonal cuisine as part of a collaboration with local purveyors, farmers, and wine experts.

Chef David Willocks, who owns the restaurant alongside his designer wife Wendy Willocks, aim to offer a farm-to-table experience for those who visit The Baker’s Table Restaurant.

“From day one, The Baker’s Table has been inspired by the idea of people coming together and having a communal experience,” says the restaurant. “It all started with a 25-year-old, hand-built baker’s table, and in December 2018, The Baker’s Table opened.”

The restaurant sources its ingredients through sustainable principles, and the menu items rotate depending on seasonality and available to help ensure that the food items not only taste good but feel good and do good also.

The restaurant has been recognized by Eater.com as one of the “16 Best New Restaurants in America for 2019” and named by USA Today as the “No. 4 Best New Restaurant in America.”

The final event of the series, Summer Brunch, is slated for August 21. It will feature a four-course summer brunch inspired by the season and includes a mix of old favorites and new creations. The cost is $45 and include a nibble, starter, main course, and dessert.

The Baker’s Table is located at 1004 Monmouth Street in Newport, Kentucky. You can learn more about the restaurant or reserve your spot for the final farm-to-table event of the series at http://bakerstablenewport.com.
