The year was 1998, and I was a young, impressionable teenager. Like most teenage girls in my generation, I fell victim to an irreversible beauty fad – over plucked eyebrows. Decades (and 50+ Anastasia Brow Wiz liners) later, I finally decided to microblade my eyebrows.

Carlye debunked several misconceptions that I held, and had I known the truth I would have done microblading years ago!
Myth #1: Microblading is painful.
Reality: I am terrified of needles. Let me be more clear – I have a history of passing out during almost every single immunization I have ever received. Carlye made me feel incredibly calm and utilized a topical numbing agent for the pain. While it was uncomfortable in the beginning of the procedure, I was surprised at how little it impacted me!
Myth #2: Microblading doesn’t look natural.
Reality: Carlye has expertise in precision shading to ensure that your brows look right for your face shape and skin undertones. I love how much “personality” my brows have and love how well they frame my face.
Myth #3: Microblading is permanent.
Reality: Microblading results are semi-permanent. Microblading ink is placed towards the top of the skin and will fade in a natural-looking way. The initial procedure requires two sessions (you pay up front for both) and is a 10-14 day recovery each time. This lasts between 12-18 months and gives you an opportunity to transform your brow shape and color as you age.
Overall, my experience far exceeded my expectations. I couldn’t recommend this enough and it was well worth the investment.
