The Chic Guide: What’s the inspiration behind it?
Adrielle: It’s so much fun to bring fun and unique things to the city, and it feeds our creative side! We wanted to offer Cincinnatians a fun place to go and let them be creative!
The Chic Guide: Who’s behind Splatter Room Cincinnati and OTR Funplex?
Adrielle: Frank Hailstock is the mastermind behind it all! He’s filled with fun ideas!
The Chic Guide: How does a visit to Splatter Room Cincinnati work?
Adrielle: Each painter receives one blank canvas paint and to use. We provide all protective gear such as goggles, disposable full-body pouches, shower caps, and booties for the Splatter room. We use washable, non-toxic paint just in case some gets on you accidentally (or purposefully!). Once you are in the Splatter Room, have Alexa play your favorite tunes and get your brushes ready because it’s time to get creative or messy! Make sure you plant for transporting a wet canvas – your work of art won’t be dry for at least 24 hors. However, we can hold paintings up to 48 hours upon request.

Adrielle: How often are we allowed to be messy? Splatter Room Cincinnati is fun for all ages and can be used as a creative outlet or a way to let loose.
The Chic Guide: Is there anything new on the horizon?
Adrielle: We have some exciting things in the works! We are growing and excited to open a larger Splatter Room location in the spring!
The Chic Guide: When can readers come in for an experience?
Adrielle: Our hours of operation are Thursday from 4-8pm, Friday from 4-9pm, Saturday from 11am-9pm, and Sunday from 11am-5pm.
The Chic Guide: Where are you located?
Adrielle: We’re at 112 Race Street in downtown Cincinnati. We’re conveniently located in the entertainment district Over-the-Rhine, one block south of Washington Park and directly across the street from SCPA. We are also two blocks south of the Washington Park streetcar exit.
