Megan Smart wants to put a smile on your face. And she’s doing that with her small, family-owned business Simply Smart Creations.
Smart has always had a love for design and creating, and she decided to take it a step further and start a business after her she was gifted a Circuit for Christmas one year.
“After a year of making things for my family, family and friends became interested in my designs,” she says. “So I decided to create a page for people to follow along.”
Recently, her business has really started to take off with the help of friends and family who have shared her page and designs with others. “I’ve even shipped items out of state to Florida, Illinois, and Minnesota,” she says. “And I hope to keep adding to the list!”
Smart is the one-woman show behind the business, and she creates a variety of items including t-shirts, sweatshirts, signs, pillows, bookmarks, keychains, wine bags, tote bags, and other bags. And while this is a general list, Smart says that she’s always looking to try new things for customers.
Smart says she is hoping to build some stock throughout the year so that she can participate in festivals and pop-ups this fall.
