Downtown Troy is in a renaissance and business is booming. Abbey Day wanted to be part of all the good things that were happening in the city and opened her own business, Salon LUX.
“At Salon LUX we strive to create an authentic and warm-hearted atmosphere, where beautiful hair is created and genuine connections are formed,” explains Day. “When developing Salon LUX, passion for being able to offer our guests the latest hair color trends truly create our next-level salon culture experience.”
The salon is brand new and is the brainchild of Day, who spent years behind the chair before she decided to venture out on her own, and give herself more time to focus on her growing family. As someone who prides herself on the relationships she’s able to build with clients, Day knew that opening up her own salon was the path that would set her up for success without sacrificing time with her three young boys and husband.
There are a variety of services available at Salon LUX include modern hair color and cut techniques, along with Bellami extensions and facial waxing.
The education-driven stylists at Salon LUX can do a variety of styles, including Day’s personal favorite of a “lived-in” balayage that is low maintenance.
No matter what you choose to do to your hair at Salon LUX, the team is ready to help you get there.
“I value myself in listening to my guests and their hair desires, and help guide them with a style that is not only healthy and luxurious but fits their lifestyle and maintenance needs,” says Day.
Salon LUX will host a Bellami extension class for fellow hairstylists in 2022, so Day says to keep an eye out on details for that.
Salon LUX is located at 224 S. Market Street, Suite D, in Troy – in the remodeled historical building that was previously home to the Troy Daily News.
