When Derrick Partman was 17, all he wanted to do was open his own gym. He never lost sight of that goal and is now the owner of RISE FIT. Located in Hamilton, just a short drive from the Dayton metro area, RISE FIT is a private performance facility that works with people of all ages (in fact, the oldest client at RISE FIT is 94 years old).

“We provide proper training for all of our clients, from young athletes to the senior population,” he says. “Everyone is welcome.”

Although Partman’s dream has been around for a while, it came about because of his grandpa, Dr. Johnson, who was a chiropractor and owned his own practice. “I wanted to be like him and continue the legacy as an entrepreneur. Due to his passing in February, it gave me even more drive to continue the journey and make my dreams a reality.”

Classes available at RISE FIT include personal training, senior balance training team sports training, and FITCAMP Performance training.

Partman says that at his gym, the team focuses on being hands-on. “As the owner and one-man show, we have about 100 members here,” he says. “We try out best to accommodate, give awesome exercise knowledge, and great communication to our members.”

Although there’s nothing new on the horizon for RISE FIT just yet, Partman says that they’re working hard to give clients even better services and ensuring that they stay true to themselves and the business.

RISE FIT is located at 112 S. 2nd Street in Hamilton.
