Being a working mom is no easy task, and Reserve Squad wants to help companies keep talent and give moms the opportunity to work when they’re available.

“We help businesses retain working moms, and others, who would otherwise leave the workforce to care for their families,” explains Reserve Squad Marketing Manager Kayla Bradley. “By disrupting the traditional full-time or part-time work models, we set up and manage a company’s internal ‘Reserve Squad’ of their own professionals who stand at-the-ready for gig work or projects.”

Reserve Squad allows companies have a pool of talent to pull from when they need contingent works that also keeps employees engaged with the company while they are away.

Teresa Tanner, the founder of Reserve Squad, found the inspiration for an idea when she left the corporate work to give her focus to creating a more welcoming, supportive, and equal environment where women could thrive.

“The data is overwhelming – more than 40% of highly qualified women leave their careers for a period of time for family or other obligations,” says Bradley. “We know that women who pause their career to care for their families struggle to maintain their career trajectory when they do return to work. And businesses struggle to fill their roles – and keep talented women in their ranks.”

This is a problem that has only been amplified since the pandemic as more than 2 million women in the U.S. left the workforce.

“Now, more than ever, businesses must address the issues that hold women back in their careers, and develop new solutions to support working moms,” she adds.

This solution in the Tri-State is Reserve Squad. Those who choose to utilize Reserve Squad are able to established a platform that keeps their valued female workforce connected to the company, ensures retention, and supports women in their career trajectory.

Reserve Squad provides a talent solution that is made up of a company’s own employees. “Reservists stand at-the-ready, available to step in when the company needs additional resources,” says Bradley. “Unlike contingency or temp support, Reservists are loyal members of the company, ensuring quality, consistency, and commitment.”

The Reserve Squad can also help with reducing turnover, reducing onboarding costs, and also helps to retract and retain talent while ensuring gender diversity and inclusion.

The goal behind Reserve Squad is to benefit not just a company, but the women who work for the company as well.

“The ultimate goal is to keep women, or anyone, engaged in their careers even during times when they need to step-back or take a pause, and make it easier for them to reenter full-time work when the time comes,” she adds.

Reserve Squad will continue to recruit Reservists for clients’ specific needs. “We are building a pool of talented women for our Reservist network who can be placed for work when it becomes available,” says Bradley.
