Not all salons and spas are created equal, and Brittany McNees wants hers salon to stand out among the rest.
Queen City Salon and Spa is a salon offering a variety of services from massage to skincare treatments, spray tans, and waxing.
McNees says her inspiration for opening Queen City Salon and Spa was to create a relaxing atmosphere for her clients.
“I want to help people relax and forget about the stresses of life for the 60 or 90 minutes they’re on my table,” she says. “We all stay so busy and life gets hectic, and sometimes we forget to just take a deep breath and enjoy the moment we’re in.”
And she feels like she’s been able to create that that space and give her clients a chance to take a deep breath.
McNees has been in the beauty industry for nearly a decade, and out on her own for the 5 years that Queen City Salon and Spa has been in business. She has been a licensed massage therapist for 9 years and a licensed esthetician for 5 years.
The services available at the Clifton-based salon and spa include relaxation, deep tissue, CBD, and prenatal massage, as well as dermaplaning, hydrofacials, and microdermabrasion. Additionally, you can opt for waxing and air brush spray tanning.
McNees says that what makes Queen City Salon and Spa stand out among other beauty salons in the city is that she wants to provide clients with high-quality services rather than just get them in and out as quickly as possible.
“I want to give people the best massage or facial they’ve ever had from start to finish,” she says. “There is no cutting corners when it comes to service or products, we like the good stuff and feel it makes a huge difference in your results and experience when you use quality products.”
The technicians who work at Queen City Salon and Spa are also fans of what they do, and are excited to treat their clients to fun, new services.
McNees is also a supporter of other women-owned businesses. “From the company that makes us our shirts to the majority of the products we use, to the cookies we hand out as gifts around the holidays – they all come from other women-owned businesses,” she adds.
