Erin Schulte is a crafter and the founder of Porkopolis Creations, a handmade floral and bow boutique. The maker, who chose to name her business Porkopolis after Cincinnati’s rich history and cultural traditions, was inspired by her children, nieces, and nephews.

“While I was pregnant with my twins, I started to make handmade gifts for all the kids in my family,” she says. “What started as something fun to do turned into what you see today!”

When you shop Porkopolis Creations, you’ll find a variety of hair bows and accessories as ell as home decor that features some felt flowers and even a build-your-own-bouquet. Schulte says the perk of building your own bouquet is that there’s a selection of colorful felt flowers to choose from that never need water and will never die.

Schulte knows the difficulty many shoppers have today when trying to find handmade, unique creations. That’s why she handcrafts everything. “My customers appreciate the personal touch I’m able to provide,” she says.
