Taylor Fogle is the creator behind the small-, black-owned business Petal To The Metal.

“Petal To The Metal creates handmade jewelry including earrings, necklaces, keychains, and more,” says Fogle. “All of our jewelry is made out of hand-wrapped wire, silicone, and pressed flowers or crystals, or other handmade designs that I’ve created myself.”

The inspiration for Petal To The Metal, which launched in August 2021, was Fogle’s desire to create affordable handmade jewelry that was easy and fun to wear.

Fogle knows that some haven’t had the easiest time getting through COVID, and she wanted to give others a chance to buy jewelry for themselves or others that wouldn’t cost them too much. “The inspiration that pushes me to continue through it all is the support of friends and family along the way, and the joy that I find in making my creations,” she adds.

When you shop Petal To The Metal, you’ll find crystal stone and hand-picked pressed flower earrings and necklaces, as well as jewelry from hand painted and molded designs.

What makes Petal To The Metal stand out among other handcrafted jewelry designs is the lightness of the jewelry, the handpicked materials that go into the designs, and the individuality that each piece offers. “Truly, the reason that every single piece that’s made is created one-by-one, so no design is exactly the same, just like you and I,” adds Fogle.

Fogle says she’s looking forward to offering new painted designs and more earrings and necklaces in the new year.

Petal To The Metal doesn’t have a storefront, but you can shop Fogle’s designs at a pop-up shop at Luna’s Gifts and Botancials in downtown Dayton on December 21 from 2-7pm. There she says she will have Christmas jewelry for 30% off the original price as well as her new line of raw stone crystal earrings for $15 each.
