Alicia Miller loves the great outdoors. She also loves the effects that being out in nature can have on your body.

That’s why she started Om Essential Oils, a female-owned business based in Oakwood. “I create handmade, organic, self-care products with the highest quality essential oils from doTERRA,” she says.

The inspiration for Om Essential Oils came from her passion for the healing effects nature offers accompanied with her passion for giving gifts to loved ones. She started out with rollerballs, bath salts, and body scrubs, but wanted to do even more – making way for the launch of Om Essential Oils.

As a special educator, wife, and mom, Miller knows the importance of feedback, product testing, and support – and she’s always asking for these things from her village.

“It’s common to find several friends and family members helping me prepare and design around the dining room table,” she sys.

Products from Om Essential Oils can help with a variety of ailments or just offer you some relaxation after a long day. Miller says some of her products include Breath Easy Shower Steamers for allergy, sinus, and cld relief; TLC Healing and Growth Serum for nails and skin that’s made with lavender, lemon, frankincense, myrrh, jojoba, coconut, and Vitamin E; all-natural, nourishing Hand and Surface Sanitizer with OnGuard to get rid of germs and bacteria; bath salts; soy candles; facial serum; bar soap with shea butter and goat’s milk base; and more.

Om Essential Oils can be found at pop-ups throughout the region including the Oakwood Famers Market as well as local stores including Grace Lane Boutique and Indie West Studios.

“I’m looking forward to upcoming events at The Beauty Boost Dayton’s Hocus Pocus on October 20 from 6-8:30pm, Big Taste of Fitness on November 6 from 10am-2pm, and Holiday Beers and Cheers on December 5 from 11am-3pm,” she says.
