Master Your Elevator Pitch

You only get one chance to make a good first impression! Our business & life coach teaches how to create a 15-second introduction to connect with others.

Most business leaders have trouble explaining what they offer. They’re too close to it and often fumble their words.

When asked what you do, most likely you give a direct, not very compelling answer, like “I’m a (insert your professional) for me a business coach or perhaps you say “I (insert what you do) for example, “teach others to grow their business.”

As you can see, these are very vague answers. It doesn’t offer any reason for the listener to know more about you and your services, and it certainly doesn’t give them a reason to work with you or pass a referral.

Let’s spice things up with a better approach to get your listeners to lean in and want to know more. Even better if they would hire you on the spot.

A good elevator pitch, when perfected, can be created using three sentences.

The pain point is to prompt the listener to lean in, wanting to hear more. They think to themselves, “Wow, that sounds like me,” and they listen for what’s next.

For example, “The struggle is real not knowing where to focus your time or money to successfully scale your business.”

The listener relates and thinks, “exactly, what’s the solution.”

The following sentence adds some details to hit the emotional elements to draw them in more.

“I coach leaders to understand what’s possible, sort through the chaos, set up strategic practices, and hold them accountable.”

The reward is where you shine and tell them what it looks like after your customers use your services. You want to convey how their lives will be better or different.

“My clients are getting rapid results and increasing their bottom line.”

There you have it, a 15-second elevator pitch in three sentences.

Practice it often, change as needed, and depending on your audience, you are free to modify.

As for my final pitch: The struggle is real not knowing where to focus your time or money to successfully scale your business. I coach leaders to understand what’s possible, sort through the chaos, set up strategic practices, and hold them accountable. My clients are getting rapid results and increasing their bottom line.
