Love April Kline

This wellness expert is helping new moms and babies feel better supported.

April Kline wants to help change the way new mothers and babies are welcomed to the world. Kline launched her business Love April Kline following 20 years of working with mothers, babies, and their families as a midwife, craniosacral therapist, emotional release therapist, and lactation consultant.

Kline has also written and runs and doula certification program called Birth With Spirit, teaches masters-level nutrition, and runs Nourish, a hormone balancing/gut restoring/metabolism resetting program.

Kline was inspired to launch a birthing support business after her own pregnancy and birth experience. “It was a difficult time with a traumatic birth and postpartum depression that left me feeling like there had to be a better way to go through these processes,” she explains. “I was already a massage therapist so it made sense to use those skills with people in labor.”

Kline first became doula and from there pursued her masters in midwifery and offered the Midwifery Model of Care through those services using a collaborative approach that encourages whole-person health and personal empowerment. This is also something that all of Kline’s work is based off of.

Services from Love April Kline include one-on-one sessions to address the whole person, no matter the age of the individual. “These sessions incorporate the many modalities in which I am trained,” she adds. These include intuitive bodywork, craniosacral therapy, emotional release therapy, whole person listening and trauma resolution, prenatal care, doula services/birth support, postpartum care, and lactation support.

While Love April Kline works with people of all ages, she says the majority of her clients are pregnant or postpartum individuals and their babies.

Kline and her work stands out among other birthing service providers because of her unique approach.

“My approach is unusual because I have such a broad spectrum of training and experience that I can see and correct the root of the program rather than just try to fix symptoms,” explains Kline. “Most of my clients come to me because they have ‘tried everything else, and nothing has worked.'”

To help expand her reach, Kline says she recently purchased the building she works out of and has plants to turn it into a women’s wellness center called The Well.

“We will have a broad range of care providers under one roof including midwives, lactation consultants, doulas, therapists, chiropractors, physical therapists who specialize in pelvic floor therapy, massage therapists, and much more,” she adds.

Kline recently held a fundraiser for The Well and is in the process of finishing building renovations including ADA ramps and bathrooms so she can start planning the grand opening of The Well in 2022.
