Lo-Caf Coffee

Ready for a coffee experience that doesn't keep you up all night? This husband-and-wife team is bringing a new kind of caffeinated experience to the Queen City.

Bill Krasner and his wife want to help you #FuelGood with Lo-Caf Coffee.

“We provide a healthy way to get energy and focus in the afternoon,” explains Krasner.

The coffee company was inspired by the couple’s mission to help others find the healthiest, most productive version of themselves. Rather than fueling yourself on caffeine, the Krasners wanted to create something that gave them energy and focus without the caffeine jitters.

“The first batch of Lo-Caf was the result of staring down a coffee aisle, knowing I had a test to study for that night, work in the morning, and two kids who would be up at 6am,” says Krasner. “All of the caffeine in the world alone wasn’t going to help me be present.”

The Low-Caf Blend is a 50/50 blend of Water Processed Decaf and BrazilianMogiana Beans, allowing drinkers the change to enjoy all the flavor of a coffee with half the caffeine of a normal cold brew.

Lo-Caf currently offers a single blend, available as a grab-and-go product through Market Wagon or as delivered Brew Bags, which are dropped into a water pitcher overnight and removed the next day for ready-to-go coffee all week long.

What makes Lo-Caf unique is its approach to seeing how they can infuse less caffeine into their products, rather than more. In today’s 24/7 world, the Krasners are taking a unique approach that focuses on the ritual and taste of coffee, rather than how long it can keep you going.

“We are thoughtful about what we’re consuming, and want to create a product that helps people Fuel Good while reducing their caffeine intake,” he says.

As Lo-Caf continues to grow, the Krasners plan on giving their product a much larger presence this spring and summer when we make our return to cold-brew coffees to beat the heat.

“We are working with a designer in Cincinnati to launch a redesign of our product and get our bags in retail shops for mid-2022, and additional flavors like vanilla and caramel Brew Bags,” he adds.
