When Catrena Thomas was little, her mother would lay out outfits on the bed, complete with all the accessories she needed to take it to the next level. That feeling her mother gave her by creating entire outfits sparked a fire inside her from a young age. She knew when she grew up that she wanted to help other women feel as special as her mother did when it came to fashion.
That’s why she founded Inspired Fashion, a women’s boutique specializing in colorful, stylish pieces including dresses, jumpsuits, shirts, pants, and everything in between as well as individual style sessions, personal shopping, and style parties.
“We specialize in creating an atmosphere that makes women feel appreciated, valued, and beautiful,” she says.
When Thomas curates her collection at Inspired Fashion, she spends hours doing so. That’s why when you shop Inspired Fashion, you’ll see unique pieces you can’t find anywhere else. “We offer bright, bold colors and patterns, monochromatic styles, structured work suits, flirty dresses, and everything in between – even tutus,” she says.
Those who walk through the door at Inspired Fashion are offered a glass of wine as well as personal service to ensure they’re finding exactly what they’re looking for. “We help customers understand and focus on dressing their shape, not their size,” says Thomas. We believe all women are beautiful, so we cater to women from size 2-22.”
Additionally, Inspired Fashion believes in partnerships, and there are two partners that occupy space in the boutique including RnJ Jewelry, which stocks the jewelry in the store, and Clea Beauty, which offers a line of lipsticks. Thomas adds that the boutique is always looking for new partners and ways to promote local businesses.
Thomas is looking forward to the year for her boutique. “This year we are focusing on women’s empowerment, so we are offering workshops and networking sessions for women to come together around various topics such as vision boarding, how to launch a business, building your brand, and many other topics,” she adds.
