“Handy Hats are patented products, hats with pockets on the inside, to hold everyday essential items such as credit cards, cash, keys, IDs, lip balm and even face masks,” explains Handy Hats Founder Dani Ruffolo.
The idea for Handy Hats came from Ruffolo’s need to keep track of her student ID and dorm key while at the University of Dayton. “I took a sock and sewed it into a baseball cap I had, and the first Handy Hats prototype was made,” she says.
Ruffolo launched the brand while she was still a student at the University of Dayton, and in the last 5 years she has continued to grow Handy Hats and create an even wider range of products.
There are a variety of patented Handy Hats products available, including baseball caps, bucket hats, beanies, furry pom pom hats, sun hats, and fedoras. Additionally, customers can order custom designs and logos for employees, teams, and even corporate events.
Ruffolo says she’s looking forward to the continued growth of her brand. The popular Teddy Bucket Hats have always been popular, so she recently added more colors to the collection. She says Handy Hats is also preparing for more corporate group orders for local companies this year, and the opportunity to sharing her products when the warm weather arrives and people head out for vacations.
“We can’t wait to see people sporting our sun Handy Hats and Bucket Hats on the beach, the pocket is a perfect place to keep your hotel key safe while enjoying a beach day,” adds Ruffolo.
