Gotcha Packed

Say goodbye to the days of not knowing what to wear with this Cincinnati-based style subscription box.

The fashion world is always changing. Trends come and go, and it can be easy to feel like your “look” is no longer “in.”

Chelsea von Ohain wants to change that with her virtual styling services called Gotcha Packed.

“Gotcha Packed delivers curated outfits from ethically-sourced brands,” she explains. “We provide a few options for our style box depending on what you’re looking for.”

Those style boxes include the Travel Box, the Special Occasion Box, and the Seasonal Subscription.

The Travel Box combines styles from around the world and is designed to help people pack. “We do the research on the weather, culture, and style of our traveler’s destinations and select their outfits according to the activities of their itinerary.”

Von Ohain says she wants others to be comfortable and stylish while they’re traveling, because it can make all the difference in your experiences while away from home.

There’s also the Special Occasion Box. “Our Special Occasion Box includes outfits for anything from wedding evens, maternity wear, family photoshoots, and beyond,” says von Ohain.

Gotcha Packed recently added its Seasonal Subscription Box, which delivers outfits every 3 months. You know, when the seasons change.

The inspiration for Gotcha Packed goes back to von Ohain’s own journey in the Peace Corps. “I think gearing up for that experience is what planted the seed for Gotcha Packed,” she explains. “I was leaving for two yers and had no idea what to pack. I had to search far and wide for recommendations on what to bring and I ended up way overpacking. My backpack weight a million pounds, which made my 27 hour journey that much worse. Although I served as a Health Volunteer, I found myself working with local tailors and playing with the vibrant wzx fabrics.”

She says that living in West African taught her how much she enjoyed learning about different cultures and inspired her to wonder how fashion could be a sense of self-expression.

Upon her return to the United States, von Ohain says she started to notice just how much people hated to pack before their upcoming travels. “They would stress about what to wear and they would rarely have the time and energy to put their bags together,” she says. “It was often the last item on their to-do list before leaving ad would arrive at their destination feeling unprepared.”

It was then that she realized Gotcha Packed was a solid venture and knew she could help others pack for their travels.

When you visit Gotcha Packed, you’ll fill out a style quiz, which gives the team details on sizing and style preferences. There is a one-time style fee to submit your order, and within two weeks the box is delivered to your doorstep. From there you can try on items; pay for the ones you want to keep and send back the rest.

Von Ohain says that what makes Gotcha Packed stand out from other clothing delivery boxes is the curated service, personal touches, ethically-sourced products, and the focus on sustainability.

“All the items we select for our customers are truly curated and selected just for them,” she says. “There is no algorithm. They’ll never receive the same box a year later like some of our competitors. We provide a wide variety of clothes and accessories and dress them from head-to-toe to complete their outfits.”

Travel boxes also include an extra perk – they’re labeled with suggestions on what to wear for each leg of your trip. And there’s a Look Book link to that item to show you how to mix-and-match all the items you receive so you don’t have to think about what to wear each day.

Gotcha Packed offers an affiliate program, which you can sign up for here. Von Ohain says that customers earn 10% per on all referrals. “Whether you’re a blogger or social media influencer, it’s a fun and easy way to partner together and earn money,” she adds.

The future is bright for Gotcha Packed, as von Ohain says she’s always searching for ew brands to partner with to ensure her customers are getting the highest quality items. Although, she adds, her favorite partnerships are using local, small businesses. “I love supporting local and spreading the word about their brand by using their products in our style boxes,” says von Ohain.
