Kara Frantom and Haley Copen have been co-workers as labor and delivery nurses for several years. Not too long ago, they were asked to help plan a work party as a morale booster. Not only did they find they have a niche for planning parties, but they enjoy the creative outlet as well.
Fast-forward and today they’re the founders of Glamp Troy, providing custom and personalized individual tee-pee tents to fit the theme of your sleepover.
“We come to your house or venue of your choosing to set up the tents, so you can relax and enjoy the party,” says Frantom. “The tents can be used for birthday parties or any other celebration – for kids and adults!”
Current themes include boho, tie-dye, Taylor Swift, glow-in-the-dark, football, camo, gaming, holiday themes like Christmas and New Years Eve, gold, and mermaid.
What makes Glamp Troy unique is that there isn’t anything else like it in the northern Dayton area. The duo does their best to customize each party to fit the theme and personality of each customer. The mattresses for the tents are twin size and can hold up to 300 pounds.
The price of a party with Glamp Troy varies depending on how many tents you need. Prices start at $160 for two tents and can go up to 8 tents. A daytime rental option is available for those who don’t need the tents all night. Included in the cost is set-up, tear-down, and the styling with the theme of your choice.
Glamp Troy also includes travel within a 20-mile radius of Troy in the price of rentals. There is a travel fee for anything outside that radius.
Frantom says Glamp Troy is always in search of ways to expand and evolve, and they’re looking forward to the future of the business.
