What started out as a one-woman show has turned into a family affair. Today, the family-founded, community-oriented boutique Fox and Feather Trading Co. in Tipp City has been carefully curated by a loving mother and family of 10 siblings to develop it into the thriving business it is today.
“We specialize in women’s fashion and home goods,” explains Linda Kreider, one of the owners of Fox and Feather Trading Co. “Our family is from Tipp City, and we cherish being a part of the thriving community here on Main Street.”
The mission behind Fox and Feather Trading Co. is to bring a distinctive and exciting retail experience to customer. “We’re constantly seeking out new inventory and looking for new ways to bring excitement to the in-person shopping experience,” adds Kreider.
The family matriarch, also named Linda, wanted to establish a business that allowed her children to be a crucial part of. All 10 of the siblings are able to work together while sharing a passion that’s been handed from one generation to the next. “I had the initial idea for the brand – one that would combine the strengths of our family with the roots of our community,” she says. “While not every sibling works at the shop regularly, we have all pitched in over the years to build this brand that is now a hallmark of the Tipp City experience.”
Fox and Feather Trading Co. was established in 2018, and since then the entire family has come together to make it the store customers enjoy so much today. In fact, a few of the siblings work alongside mom to keep the shop running, bringing in exciting merchandise and experiences for anyone who walks through its doors. “Our customers have enjoyed the family behind the brand, and we’ve enjoyed getting to know them,” she says. “Many now feel like the closest of friends!”
When you visit Fox and Feather Trading Co., you’ll find a range of merchandise and something for everyone. “While we are always working to incorporate new items, our customers can already find anything ranging from clothing for the family, pieces for the home, and gifts for every occasion,” adds Kreider.
The store is not only a staple in the Tipp City community because of its focus on family, but it’s also important because of the uniqueness it offers. There are items from local artisans, trendy home decor pieces, fashionable clothing options, custom spirit wear and apparel, and more.
The passion for Fox and Feather Trading Co. never wavers. The family says they are always looking to grow. “As many of our regulars know, we are always expanding our showroom to continue bringing in new and exciting items,” says Kreider. “We’ve also been proud to support three of our sisters in their own ventures that were sparked by their ongoing involvement with Fox and Feather. It’s been exciting to continue working side-by-side with one another while encouraging each other’s success and growth.”
