Echõ Boutique

This Troy-based boutique offers women a place to shop while finding a sense of warmth and acceptance inside their doors.

When you have hope, you have everything. The word hope in Greek is echo, and Kelli Szakal and Sheila Kesling are fueled by hope.

They live by this verse in the Book of Hebrews: “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.”

“When e were trying to find a name for our little boutique, this word resonated with us,” said Szakal. “We wanted to create a space where women could come and find hope. We wanted a place where the very fibers gave anyone who walked in the door and sense of warmth and acceptance.”

Today they are the owners of the Troy-based boutique Echõ Boutique.

“Echõ Boutique is a women’s clothing boutique that also carries home decor and gifts,” explains Szakal.

What started as a mission to give hope to others continues today, as Szakal says they believe that customers still feel a sense of warm and acceptance when they walk through the door.

When you shop Echõ Boutique you’ll find that the styles carried in the store very much reflect the lives of these 40-something moms of teenagers.

“We go, go, go all the time, but we still love to be stylish and comfortable,” says Szakal. “We love to dress up, but most of our lives are in everyday clothes.”

So when you shop Echõ Boutique you’ll find classic pieces that can be mixed and matched with unique styles.

“We also love to accessorize with jewelry and purses,” adds Szakal.

Home decor is another category of items that you can find when you shop Echõ Boutique.

Szakal says that while there are several fabulous boutique in the Dayton area, she believes that what sets Echõ Boutique apart from the rest is the atmosphere and community they’ve created.

“We care for our customers, we pray for our customers,” she says. “It’s not uncommon to see women standing around talking, praying over each other, and just relaxing in our store. It’s a place of peace and many women who walk through the door tell us that very thing.

Szakal says that they’re looking forward to the future, and hope to announce some exciting things soon.
