Chillin’ With Villains

Grab the littles for a spooky good time while supporting The Children's Theatre of Cincinnati.

The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati, the country’s oldest children’s theater, is back for fun this Halloween with Monster Bash. The event, scheduled for October 22 from 4-9pm, will be held at the theater’s headquarters at 4015 Red Bank Road.

This year’s theme for Monster Bash is “Chillin’ with Villains” and will feature fun for the whole family.

“Come dressed in your Halloween best and enjoy festive activities including pumpkin decorating, trick-or-treating, face painting, bubble dance party, balloon art, bouncy house, costume contests, a walk-through Villain Village interactive experiences, games, and much more,” the Theatre says. “There will also be character appearances from TCT’s production of Disney’s “Descendants: The Musical.”

Also at the event will be food from LaRosa’s Pizza and Graeter’s Ice Cream plus cotton candy, chicken tenders, kid slushies, and adult beverages.

And while the event is going to be a good time for those in attendance, it’s also going to support a great cause. The Theatre says that the proceeds from the Monster Bash will support the organization’s numerous art education opportunities and initiatives that support more than 170,000 children and young adults across Cincinnati.

“Through sponsorships and guest ticket sales, the committee for The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati’s Monster Bash will raise funds to further our mission of educating, entertaining, and engaging audiences of all ages through professional theatrical productions and arts education programming,” the Theatre says.

There are notes about costumes for the vent: including that costumes may not contain any weapons that resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon and masks may be worn, if the mask does not cover the entire face and eyes are visible.
