YRD creates fun bold, ethic patterns for home decor and personal accessories. We also create original art that expounds and extends our motifs. Our work is bold, vibrant, colorful and joy inducing.
The Chic Guide: What’s the inspiration behind it?
Rodriguez: The inspiration comes from the Founder’s Nigerian background, combined with her American experience. Yetunde grew up in Nigeria, West Africa, where colorful, vibrant, and rich fabrics feature prominently in celebrating all milestones of life.

Rodriguez: Yetunde Rodriguez Design was founded by Yetunde Rodriguez. I create and produce all the motifs/patterns/art for the brand!
The Chic Guide: What products do you create?
Rodriguez: We create Art & Fabrics. Our fabrics are used to produce home decor such as pillows, curtains, table cloths, shower curtains, etc. We also make some bags and personal accessories.
The Chic Guide: What makes Yetunde Rodriguez Design unique?
Rodriguez: Our unique aesthetic features strong color combinations merged with bold geometric motifs. We started by hand-printing our fabrics by screen printing and block printing.
The Chic Guide: Is there anything new on the horizon?
Rodriguez: Yes, we offer workshops in our studio in Downtown Dayton. At our workshops (PrintNSips) you can create your own items and learn some simple printing techniques. Our Spring/Summer workshops begin in June.
