Find yourself a brand new look at this mobile boutique catering to the fashion wants of the modern woman.

The Chic Guide: What is the Wandering Willow Boutique?
Allison Babylon, Co-Owner of Wandering Willow Boutique: We are a women’s boutique that has been built around the wants of the modern woman. We have clothing, jewelry, and even home goods such as furniture and decorations.

The Chic Guide: What’s the inspiration behind it?
Babylon: You can dream of anything if a bottle of wine is involved! It sounds funny, but it is true! We were at our favorite winery and a few glasses in, when we started coming up with the idea to do a boutique. We had this idea of ‘What does the modern woman want?’ and realized that it is so hard to find stores that cater to women and their modest femininity. So, that is exactly what we did!

The Chic Guide: Who’s behind the business?
Babylon: We are a mother and daughter duo! Mama Jenni does all of the furniture and home goods by hand! Believe it or not, that isn’t all she does. On top of that she is a hospice nurse that serves the Miami Valley. I do most of the online and business side of things as this is my full-time job!

The Chic Guide: What can readers find in your shop?
Babylon: We pride ourselves on serving women of all sizes and ages. Our motto is that both a mom and daughter could walk into our boutique and find something. We fill our racks with wardrobe essentials that can be worn, no matter the trend season. Our furniture is found as an antique and turned into a modern treasure. Tables, decorative windows, dressers, coffee bars, you name it!

The Chic Guide: What makes the Wandering Willow Boutique unique?
Babylon: When we were working on the idea of the boutique, we knew we wanted to do something different than everyone else. Towns are filled with brick and mortar boutiques and social media is flooded with them. That is how we came up with the idea to do the trailer and take the boutique to our customers. We bought a brand new trailer and then designed it and built it ourselves. It has everything a store does, flooring, shiplap walls, mirrors, decorations, BUT it also has a set of wheels that takes us anywhere you want to go!

The Chic Guide: Where are you located?
Babylon: This is always a funny one with a traveling boutique! We are based out of Troy and most of our pop-ups are in the Miami Valley!

The Chic Guide: Are you participating in any upcoming events?
Babylon: We plan to be at the Newton Local Market July 22 and September 30. That will be held in the Newton school parking lot from 5-8pm. This year has been a whirlwind for us as I’m getting married in September and so we have kept our pop-ups to a minimum. We are super excited to attend many more events next year!

The Chic Guide: Is there anything new on the horizon?
Babylon: Since we have only been a business for three months, we are really working on building our inventory and event schedule! We have a few ideas up our sleeve for the next year that we can’t speak on, so definitely give us a follow and keep an eye out!

The Chic Guide: Where can readers go to learn more and follow along?
Babylon: We are on Facebook and Instagram! We also have a website where you can shop with us at www.wanderingwillowbtq.com.
