Chic Spotlight: Timber & Bow Play Studio

Relax while the littles play at this Troy play place.

The Chic Guide: What is Timber & Bow Play Studio?
Jessica Gill & Autumn White, Owners of Timber & Bow Play Studio: Our informal play space provides many developmentally appropriate activities geared towards infants, toddlers, and preschoolers age 6 years and younger. With a gentle nod to the “Sherwood Forest” of Robin Hood, our space offers a modern take on nature-themed play. From our large wooden playset to our quaint playhouse and garden shed, and all the gross-motor, fine motor, and imaginative play in between, we’ve got something for everyone!

The Chic Guide: What’s the inspiration behind it?
Gill & White: Timber & Bow Play Studio started as a vision shared by two local moms realizing the need for a fun, clean, LOCAL place to bring kiddos during the day. The opportunity to bring that vision to life in the new, revitalized Sherwood area of Troy felt like a dream come true. Timber & Bow Play Studio is designed to allow kids to be kids and adults to socialize, get a little work done, or simply have a place to play away from home!

The Chic Guide: Who’s behind it?
Gill & White: We are the owners and lifelong best friends. We grew up in rural Ohio before each relocating to Columbus to attend The Ohio State University. After spending nearly a decade in Columbus, where we started our own families, it was time to move back closer to friends and family. Upon moving to Troy, we immediately noticed a lack of places for parents to bring their small children to play in the community. Therefore, we got to work filling that void, all while growing our own personal careers and raising a combined six kiddos ranging from ages 3 to 10!

The Chic Guide: What does a visit to Timber and Bow look like?
Gill & White:
When parents come to Timber & Bow, they can expect to immediately feel right at home. Little ones are usually kicking off their shoes before our staff can say “welcome”! The play studio is bright and clean, with all toys and equipment being in plain view of the seating area. Order coffee, ice cream, or a full variety of cafe options from neighboring Midtown Coffee & Creamery, and have it delivered to your seat!

Timber & Bow is available to rent for Private Events, which includes exclusive use of the entire play studio! You can host up to 40 people, while barely having to life a finger! Our trained staff will help with decorating and set-up, accommodate any of your requests throughout the event, then completely tear down and clean everything once your party is over!

Whether you come for the day during “Open Play,” plan regular trips using an Annual Family Membership, or book a Private Event, you will leave feeling refreshed with some worn out little ones.

The Chic Guide: Why is Timber & Bow a good place for littles?
Gill & White: When you come to Timber and Bow, the choice is yours how you want to spend your time while your little ones run and play! Parents have the opportunity to play alongside their kiddos or they can sit back and relax or get some work done while easily keeping an eye on their children play in an interactive, safe environment! You’ll also be reassured by our staff’s commitment to cleanliness throughout the day.

The Chic Guide: What makes Timber and Bow unique?
Gill & White: Timber & Bow is one of the only indoor play centers in the Miami Valley! Our dedication to safety and cleanliness is second-to-none, and parents find themselves charmed by our small little studio complete with fun, modern designs and attention to every detail.
