Poppy Lane Boutique provides a breath of fresh air to your closet, with an ever changing selection of the latest plus size styles and trends that were designed to flatter your figure. Our goal is to make every curvy girl feel fabulous and confident and look beautiful in amazing clothes that fit! Our true mission is to make our customers feel valued, heard, and confident.
The Chic Guide: What’s the inspiration behind it?
Amy and Mindy: Opening a boutique just for curvy girls has been a dream of ours for a long time! We love boutique shopping, but we couldn’t shop for ourselves anywhere! Most boutiques carry a small amount of plus size clothing but it really wasn’t worth the trip to be able to shop the five or ten different items available at each store. We would usually end up buying a cute pair of earrings and being disappointed that all of the cute clothes weren’t in our sizes! Mindy has worked in retail at “the mall” but so much of what you find there is career oriented or looks like an old lady should be wearing it! Just because we are curvy doesn’t mean we don’t want to be cute! So we answered the call – and started an online / pop-up boutique out of Amy’s basement! As the business started to grow, opportunity came knocking and we decided to open a brick and mortar!
The Chic Guide: Who’s behind it?
Amy and Mindy: We are a sister duo – Amy & Mindy! If we ever meet in person it won’t take long for you to realize that we are a little “extra!” We love beautiful, unique, trendy and fun clothing (for curvy girls of course), jewelry (gotta have the bling) and we love to talk (sometimes too loud)! Amy is the oldest sister, she and her husband live in Darke County. They have two grown children and two fur babies. Mindy lives in the Cincinnati area with her husband, teenage daughter and one fur baby. Stop by the store and get to know us a little better – we would love to chat!

We embrace variety and versatility in fashion and aim to meet the continually evolving style needs of our customers.
In true boutique fashion, we choose the clothes, style and shoot our own merchandise, and if you are buying online – we ship every item directly from our store. If you stop by the store, we are always happy to help you style the perfect outfit – we would love to be your own personal shopper! Poppy Lane helps you find your own unique look without the expensive price tags, offering you a well edited, budget friendly selection of trendy styles.

Amy and Mindy: We are the only exclusively plus size boutique within a 60 mile radius. We want to conveniently provide you with all of the plus size clothing you’ve been looking for in one location. That way you can spend less time shopping and more time on the important things in life: your friends and family! We believe that shopping should be easy and that the process should be painless – whether you are shopping online or in the store.
We strive to create a culture that is fun, energetic and bursting with new ideas! We love to inspire and to be inspired. Since day one, we’ve focused on bringing fashion, positivity, and community to our customers.
The Chic Guide: Is there anything new on the horizon for 2022?
Amy and Mindy: Just like we did when we started – we continue to take risks and set ambitious goals! We are passionate about our products and are constantly pushing the boundaries of what we can do for our customers.

The Chic Guide: Where are you located?
Amy and Mindy: Our store front is located in downtown Troy, Ohio! It is a vibrant and bustling small town. You can walk the streets and find wonderful hometown shops, restaurants, salons and other retail businesses. We are in the heart of it all! Located at 103 South Market Street. Our store is directly attached to Echo Boutique – a store very similar to ours but offering regular sizes – so together we offer a size inclusive shopping experience. Stop by and shop both stores at the same time!
Our store is open Tuesday thru Friday from 10:00am – 6:00pm and on Saturdays from 10:00am – 4:00pm.
