Andreadis: Pilar is named after Ernest Hemingway’s boat. Hemingway was an avid fisherman, frequenting destinations like Key West and Cuba. There is a rendition of the boat in the ceiling of the bar.

Andreadis: Pilar is owned by Cincinnati-based hospitality company Four Entertainment Group (4EG). 4EG owns and operates more than twenty-five establishments in Cincinnati, Chicago, and Columbus, including Beeline, Igby’s, Japp’s, The Lackman, Low Spark, Keystone Bar & Grill, Mac Shack, The Righteous Room, Rosedale OTR, The Roosevelt Room, and The Stretch.
