Chic Spotlight: Pathside Vibes

Check out this blog focused on highlighting fun experiences and local businesses along the Little Miami Scenic Trail and beyond.

The Chic Guide: What is Pathside Vibes?
Courtney Kraemer, Founder of Pathside Vibes: Pathside Vibes is a social media platform and blog connecting people with fun experiences and local businesses along the Little Miami Scenic Trail + beyond. We aim to find the best outdoor experiences, breweries, delicious spots to eat, shopping, or even stay the night.

The Chic Guide: What’s the inspiration behind it?
Kraemer: After moving to Loveland from Northern Kentucky (about 5 years ago), my husband and I fell in love with the charm, atmosphere, and community around the trail. I soon realized the area was underrated and underexposed. There was no social media highlighting the area as much as other neighborhoods in the Tri-State. I started sharing my experiences through Instagram back in 2019 called Loveland Beats, then collaborated with two local moms and it changed to Local Loveland. Unfortunately one of the moms moved away from the area, and another had a newborn so they were not able to share content on the account.

I decided in the new year (2022) to create a website and highlight more of the area around the trail, not just Loveland. After staying at home with a newborn during a pandemic, my safe escape was walks along the bike path and the places alongside it. As a new mom I wanted to highlight family-friendly experiences and ways to promote local businesses after small businesses suffered through the shutdown.

The Chic Guide: Who’s behind it?
Kraemer: It’s me! A local new mom of an almost 2 year old, married for almost 7 years. I grew up in Northern Kentucky and have lived in Loveland for almost 5 years. I currently work for Loveland Lifestyle Magazine as their sales and social media coordinator.

The Chic Guide: How far do you travel to highlight businesses?
Kraemer: Most of the places highlighted on the website are from Lebanon down to the Mariemont/Newtown (East End area). My typical bike rides are up to Morrow, or down to 50 West. I would love to plan some longer trips this Summer. I do, however, highlight areas not directly on the trail but in the area/typically East Side.

The Chic Guide: What have been some of your favorite stops?
Kraemer: Cartridge Brewery is a favorite! When we first moved here we would ride past the old ammunition factory and always said it would be great if someone could renovate it into something unique. When we heard a brewery was going to be there we were so excited! We love taking our son on walks through the Loveland area of the trail, there are so many great places to go it’s perfect for the whole family!

The Chic Guide: What makes Pathside Vibes unique?
Kraemer: Pathside Vibes highlights a beautiful scenic bike trail and river that expands through charming historic towns in the Cincinnati region. There is no place in the Tri-State like this. The beauty and connection around the trail is something that makes you feel like you’re on a vacation.

The Chic Guide: Where can readers go to learn more and follow along?
Kraemer: Check out the website at www.pathsidevibes.com and see an interactive map with spots from Lebanon to the East End! We’re also on Instagram and Facebook.
