The Chic Guide: What’s the inspiration behind it?
Orr: In every piece I make I try to pay homage to the tradition of embroidery while also applying it to modern times and trends. The history of embroidery can be traced back for centuries, and was often one of the main means women and marginalized communities had to document their history. The “Legend” part of the name is a nod to the people, stories, and history that were documented by way of embroidery.

Orr: Me! I am the founder, owner, and designer of all Loop & Legend products.
The Chic Guide: What products do you carry in your shop?
Orr: When you shop Loop & Legend you’ll find a mix of unique, embroidered apparel ranging from shirts, sweatshirts, hats, bags, gifts, and even some home decor. Most of our items are gender neutral and we offer products that fit almost anyone’s style.

Orr: We bring embroidery into modern times and understand that when people are looking for a piece of clothing they want quality and versatility. We stitch each piece individually resulting in quality that is unmatched compared to large retailers or anything on fast fashion sites. When it comes to versatility, when we design we don’t limit ourselves to one trend, style or aesthetic. You’ll find a variety of color options and styles in all of the products. Our apparel is made for people who like to constantly change up their look.
The Chic Guide: Is there anything new on the horizon?
Orr: Yes! We’re constantly adding new designs to the shop. We’ll be expanding our hat collection and offering more options within our bleach dye style very soon. We’re also partnering with other Cincinnati-based businesses and will be announcing collaborations over the next few months. The options are limitless with embroidery and we’re excited to add some one-of-a-kind products.

Orr: Our products are available on our Etsy shop and through Instagram. We’re local to Northside, Cincinnati, and offer custom work for businesses in the surrounding areas.
