The Chic Guide: What’s the inspiration behind it?
Wong: The inspiration behind CheezCake Lab was kind of selfish at the beginning. I was disappointed with the taste and texture of cheesecake offerings at restaurants and grocery stores. This disappointment led me to experiment with creating my own new flavors. This journey began about 18 years ago.
The Chic Guide: Who’s behind the business?
Wong: I am the creative brain behind the business. My husband, Ryan, is in charge of IT-related stuff and helps out with backend management.
The Chic Guide: What’s on the menu at CheezCake Lab?
Wong: CheezCake Lab offers a wide variety of flavors. We will be rotating them on a weekly basis, with 5-6 flavors at a time. Flavors will be based on seasons and trends, as well as offering classic flavors like vanilla and strawberry. CheezCake Lab will also offer custom flavor combinations! We currently offer our nano (cupcake sizes) on our website. We plan to add more sizes in the future as well as cheesecake-filled cookies.
The Chic Guide: What makes CheezCake Lab unique?
Wong: We have and plan to have many more variations of cheesecake products and flavors that cannot be found anywhere else. As well as the high quality of our product, it cannot be found anywhere else.
The Chic Guide: Where are you located?
Wong: CheezCake Lab currently works out of Spark Kitchen in Fairborn. We do weekly order pick-ups at Spark.
