Chic Spotlight: Brewed & Frothy Coffee

This entrepreneur wanted to create a family-friendly space where people of all ages can come together and enjoy their community over coffee.

The Chic Guide: What is Brewed & Frothy Coffee?
Christina Leo, Owner of Brewed & Frothy Coffee: Brewed & Frothy Coffee Co is not only a brand but it’s also a sense of space for those that love community and coffee. As of right now, Brewed & Frothy is a coffee roastery, but there will be so much more in the future with the end plan to open my brick and mortar of a plant-loving, family-friendly coffeehouse for our local community to chill, rejoice, and enjoy the environment.

The Chic Guide: What’s the inspiration behind it?
Leo: It all started when my two youngest brothers were 6 and 1, I was 19 at the time and so I was big sissy taking them on Starbucks runs and going on adventures, but I found that it was difficult to take them places where families were truly welcome and I always felt the need to keep them occupied with coloring or hushing them so my idea of just opening a coffee shop changed to a family-friendly coffee shop so that children can have a play area, board games readily available, and so much more to make it more on a welcoming environment.

The Chic Guide: Who’s behind it?
Leo: My name is Christina and I’m the owner of Brewed & Frothy Coffee Co!

The Chic Guide: What types of coffee do you offer?
Leo: I have a variety of whole bean coffee available to fit your coffee needs. I have four organic options of Guatemala, Colombia, Kenya and Ethiopia, and my regular coffee offerings are Costa Rica, Sumatra, Decaf, and Blissful Blend. I’m also currently working on Espresso Roast.

The Chic Guide: What makes Brewed & Frothy Coffee unique?
Leo: Oh man – I have always been such an outgoing person and a people person. I grew up doing ASB (student body) and volunteering, being a camp counselor and I have found that I enjoy meeting people and being with my community. With that said, I have created the motto of Brewed & Frothy Coffee Co to be coffee – community- connection. Having that connection with my community and customers is truly important to me, with that said I ensure that my customers are truly happy with their coffee because it’s not just caffeine to me, it’s all about the coffee experience and what the coffee can do for you. All you need is a cup of coffee, and a friend or stranger and you can truly get to know someone. I pride myself in how I am and what I will be in the future from making someone’s wedding special when providing top coffee on their wedding night to hosting Mommy and Me days when I open my brick and mortar so that mommy’s can leave their house and have a safe place for play dates.

The Chic Guide: Is there anything new on the horizon for 2022?
Leo: Ahh – without saying too much, because come on secrets are oh so fun to have. I’ll be complete with my mobile coffee cart soon and cold brew is coming so that you can enjoy readily made freshly brewed cold brew in the comfort of your home. There may be some more but let’s not spoil the fun!

The Chic Guide: Will you be participating in any upcoming events?
Leo: I just had a table set up at a local Animal Rescue Alpaca Farm called Reclaimed Ranch, where I gave free samples of hot coffee and it was a great experience. For right now, I currently have one event in May at the Northstar Inn, still waiting to see if I will be at Benton Farms Fall event, and will be at My NKY Christmas Craft Show in November. I am always open to be welcomed to other events, so I am sure that more will be coming my way as well.

The Chic Guide: Where can readers go to learn more and follow along?
Leo: There is the Facebook and Instagram, and my website is brewedfrothycoffee.com.
