The good ‘ol days of picnics are back, and this trend is taking off.
Lindsey Patejdl is the founder behind Check and Wicker Picnics, and aims to create memorable and unique experiences with her own version of picnicking.
“We thoughtfully curate your celebration to your specific vision and take care of all the tiny details so that you can show up, enjoy, and leave,” she says.
Servicing the Dayton and Cincinnati areas, Check and Wicker Picnics was inspired by Patejdl’s love for celebrations.
“I love planning parties, designing themed and tasteful tablescapes, making charcuterie boards, personalizing experiences, and making memories,” she says.
For Patejdl, who is a behavioral specialist by day, curating picnics and unique experiences for Check and Wicker Picnics is the ultimate goal and her favorite part.
“We operate a little differently than the typical picnic company,” she says. “We don’t have specific themed packages to choose from. We want to create an individualized experience according to what the customer wants. We have them fill out an inquiry, which walks them through a set of questions to tailor their experience from the decor, flowers, and food.”
When you picnic with Check and Wicker Picnics you’ll find there are curated place settings for attendees, table and cushion seating, real silverware/cheese utensils, cloth napkins, glass plates, real flowers, greenery, dried flowers, glassware, specialty signature for the occasion, a bluetooth speaker, recycling and garbage bins, game basket, complimentary to-go bags, picnic necessities, and umbrellas.
Add-ons are available for picnics as well, including all types of charcuterie boards, additional florals, and collaborations with other services including photographers, florists, and bakeries.
“We are up for the job and will do almost anything to make the celebration special for you,” adds Patejdl.
Check and Wicker Picnics can help you celebrate any occasion. They have done engagements, birthdays, holidays, and even a picnic for two friends who hadn’t seen each other in a while.
“I have met the best people doing this and I think we stand out because we create relationships with everyone we work with sot hat we can do our best job making their picnic feel memorable,” says Patejdl.
With Fall just around the corner, Check and Wicker Picnics is hoping to add more options to make the picnicking experience even better. However, there is limited availability, so Patedjl says to book before the weather changes.
