CampIN Dayton

Get ready to go campin' with this local teepee glamping business.

When Gretchen Farrell saw her niece’s glamping birthday party, she knew she needed to bring the unique party concept to Dayton. She immediately started researching services in the area but didn’t quite find anything like what she had in mind, so she decided to create her own business and bring that same joy to others right here in the Gem City.

CampIN Dayton is a mom-owned small business that specializes in teepee glamping parties for birthdays, celebrations, and family gathers. “My husband runs a small business, and I come from a family full of small business owners, so I challenged myself to step up to the plate and launch CampIN Dayton,” she says.

With the support of friends and family, Farrell does the majority of the work herself. However, when she does need a helping hand, she turns to her daughter who helps her with set-ups and clean-ups, and her husband and other children all help with the laundry, loading and unloading, and so much more. “It’s truly a family affair,” she adds.

When you glamp with CampIN Dayton, you’ll find that the offer themed slumber parties for a unique and memorable experience. Farrell says they have 6 standard themes, but are able to customize and create anything a customer may request. And while they mostly do birthday parties, she has also put glamps together for family gatherings, bachelorette parties, and team building events.

Farrell is also aware of the added stress that can come with any type of party, so she aims to take that off your shoulders with her full-service experiences. “We setup and tear down,” she says. “We make your parties and gatherings easy and effortless.”

The service area for CampIN Dayton is within 15 miles of the Dayton/Oakwood line, however she has done parties outside of that radius to include Middletown, Springboro, Vandalia, Tipp City, Troy, and Springfield for an added mileage fee.

As her business continues to grow, Farrell envisions CampIN to spread far beyond Dayton. “I’m always thinking of new ways to improve my business,” she says. “I could see CampIN spreading to other cities throughout Ohio or even the country. I have run into many people who would like to see the same services offered in their city. The sky is the limit!”
