BOL

Enjoy a healthy food option that will also give you a better outlook on life

When Angel and Michael Moore launched BOL, they wanted it to be more than just a product. “BOL is well-being, it is happiness, it is umami,” says Angel. “It is a feeling.”

When customers walk away with their BOL, the Moores want them to feel better while building an attitude that changes the way you approach life, help strangers, or hang out with loved ones.

The inspiration behind BOL and the experience the Moores hope to provide customers came from the couple’s desire to own a small business together. “We knew we were doing a food truck, and had actually purchased our first truck without even having a menu,” she explains. “While researching how to build out our true, we came across açaí bowls. No words were said, we looked at each other and instantly knew, this was it. It was beautiful and fairly simple.”

Then, while diving deeper into the concept of opening an açaí bowl-focused food truck, the duo fell in love with the health benefits açaí bowls provide. “This is how we knew we were on the right track,” adds Angel. “There was a lot of bad family health history, and we saw this as a way to be healthy and promote health through what we do everyday with these bowls.”

At BOL you’ll find three signature bowls as well as a create your own option. Typical açaí bowl toppings are available in addition to hemp, nutella, and more. Additionally, all of the granolas that are offered are made in-house and available for sale on their own.

Angel says that the main focus at BOL is doing one thing, and doing it well. “We are the only açaí bowl bar in town, and the only açaí bowl food truck in Cincinnati,” she adds. “We feel that by focusing on just this one thing, allows our food to really shine. We truly love what we do.”

BOL will soon have even more setups throughout the city, as it will be part of the Factory 52 Project in Norwood when it opens in spring 2023. They also have a stall in Gatherhall that is open to residences and the public alike.

You can find BOL parked Tuesday through Sunday at 2165 Central Avenue in the West End, right outside of OTR. They’re there from 11am to 3pm. The second truck is the mobile food truck, and you can find the schedule for that on Street Food Finder Cincinnati, on their social media pages, and on the website.
